Auch die offiziellen Zulassungszahlen für den Januar 2018 für die Schweiz und für Österreich sind längst veröffentlicht worden. Ähnlich wie bei den Zahlen für Deutschland zeigt sich, dass Tesla im Januar 2018 auch in den Nachbarländern nur relativ wenige Zulassungen verbuchen konnte.

In der Schweiz waren es insgesamt 15 Zulassungen im Januar, davon 9 Model S und 6 Model X. Im Vergleich dazu waren es im Januar 2017 insgesamt 103 Fahrzeuge, davon 49 Model S und 54 Model X. Das entspricht einem Rückgang von 85 Prozent.

Ähnlich sieht es in Österreich aus. Dort lagen die Gesamtzulassungen von Tesla bei 17 Fahrzeugen (Einzelauflistung nicht verfügbar). Im Januar 2017 waren es noch 54 Zulassungen von Tesla-Fahrzeugen. Das entspricht einem Rückgang von fast 69 Prozent.
